Terms of Service

Last updated June 2026. By using Storvio you agree to these terms.

The service

Storvio provides software that lets self-storage facility owners manage units, tenants, leases, and billing, and lets tenants rent and pay online. Storvio is a software provider — it is not a party to the rental agreement between a facility owner and their tenant, and it is not a landlord, property manager, or collection agent.

Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure (sign-in is by one-time link). Use the service only for lawful purposes.

Payments & fees

Facility owners are billed a monthly subscription fee for Storvio, in advance. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Rent, deposits, and other charges between owners and tenants are processed through Stripe and paid out to the facility owner, who is the merchant of record for those charges. Taxes are the responsibility of the applicable party.

Payment processing, chargebacks & disputes

Payments are processed by Stripe. Storvio is not responsible for payment failures, delays, or holds caused by Stripe, a bank, or a card network. Facility owners are responsible for handling payment disputes, refunds, and chargebacks with their tenants; Storvio does not mediate tenant–owner payment disputes.

Third-party services

Storvio relies on third-party services, and your use of Storvio is also subject to their terms — including the Stripe Services Agreement and Stripe Connect Agreement (payments and payouts) and your facility’s gate system, such as ProDataKey (PDK), where used. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any integration your facility enables.

Owner and tenant responsibilities

Facility owners control their tenants’ information and are responsible for: providing any legally required privacy notices and consents to their tenants, managing who can access tenant data, and setting their own access-control and gate policies (including any PDK configuration). Storvio is not responsible for gate-access failures or the accuracy of third-party gate logs. Tenants agree to use Storvio only for their own rental, billing, and access matters.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to breach security or access data you’re not authorized to, no interference with the platform, and no use of the public sign-in or inquiry forms to send unsolicited messages. We may monitor for abuse, rate-limit or block sign-in attempts, suspend accounts for violations, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

Service availability

We work to keep Storvio available and reliable but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control, and we’re not liable for those interruptions.

Termination

You may stop using Storvio at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service. After termination we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records by law (for example, tax or accounting). Facility owners remain responsible for any data-retention duties they owe their own tenants.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storvio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the prior twelve months.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Storvio harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or disputes between you and other users — such as disputes between a facility owner and a tenant.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Storvio operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally; if we can’t resolve it, disputes will be handled in the courts where Storvio operates, unless both parties agree to binding arbitration.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms; if a change is material we’ll let you know, and continued use after an update means you accept the changes. Questions? Email support@storv.io.
