Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026. This describes how Storvio handles personal information.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account or rent a unit — such as your name, email, phone, billing address, and the details of your facility, units, leases, and rentals. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider (Stripe); Storvio never sees or stores full card numbers. We also collect limited technical data (IP address, device/browser, and sign-in activity) to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
We use this information to provide the service: to operate facilities, manage tenants and leases, process rent and deposits, send transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, billing notices), provide support, and keep the platform secure and reliable. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Cookies & sessions
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your session ends when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
Service providers
We share data with trusted processors only as needed to run Storvio — including Stripe (payments and payouts), Amazon Web Services (hosting and database), Amazon SES (email delivery), and error-monitoring tools. If your facility uses ProDataKey (PDK) for gate access, the information needed to grant you entry is shared with PDK and is also subject to their privacy policy. Each provider handles data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments.
Facility owners and tenants
Storvio is software that facility owners use to manage their tenants. If you are a tenant, your facility owner controls your account information and can see your rental, billing, and contact details in order to provide your storage service. For privacy requests about your rental, contact your facility owner first — they decide what information is collected and how long it is kept.
Data security & retention
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging. Payment-event records from Stripe that contain sensitive details (such as card last-four or billing address) are automatically scrubbed within 30 days; non-sensitive metadata like the event type and timestamp may be kept for accounting. Sign-in and security logs are kept for up to 90 days. Otherwise we retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Your privacy rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law. Facility owners can email us directly; tenants should contact their facility owner, who controls their data. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, including data portability — contact us and we’ll help.
International users
Storvio is operated in the United States, and your information is processed there. If you use Storvio from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and stored in the U.S., and we rely on appropriate legal safeguards for that transfer.
Children’s privacy
Storvio is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we’ll delete it promptly if we learn that we have.
Security incidents
If a security breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll let you know by email or with a notice in the app. Continuing to use Storvio after an update means you accept the revised policy.
